We opened our Bed & Breakfast today with 2 guests staying in our Garden room (see photos). It was also our first dinner dinner for guests and we treated them to a 3 course dinner, the whole shebang preceded by an aperitif of local specialties such ad Fenelon, a concoction of sweet walnut and red wine sweetened by black currant liquor, pure duck sausage and dry pork sausage.
The first course was an arugula salad with a local goat cheese, Cabecou, with local honey and wine and walnut bread baked down the street.
The main course was a duck confit accompanied by sauteed young potatoes and a zuchini and pesto flan with a light cream of sundried tomatoes.
Desert was a fresh and local strawberry tiramisu accompanied by a locally made walnut cookie.
Dinner was served with the well known local Malbec from Cahors, the main producing area located 30 minutes away.
And an espresso to insure proper digestion....
It was our first official dinner so we did not think of shooting pictures when our plates where finished... So here they are before being decorated...
Hope to serve you soon...
PS: It all went well, plates came back completely empty except for the bones...

Dear friends and supporters,
As you know our life has been in turmoil for the last several months, with the approaching major life change David and I are getting ready for. Now with our departure around the corner and still so much to get done is when we need your support most.
We are not asking for donations, we are asking you to look over our list of things we are still struggling to sell to raise money for our move and new start.
We are selling all our belongings in the US as we can't afford to have them shipped overseas. The items we are parting with are of great quality and very useful: espresso makers, desks, filing cabinets, a beautiful console, 2 cars, a bicycle, kitchen appliances, kitchenware, a wine cooler, some chairs...
If anyone of you needs any of these items, it would make a huge difference to us in our effort to recover some of the money we have invested here in the US and to have it available towards buying what we need for the B&B.
Please go to our rewards and see what we have for sale, share with your friends if you see fit and be part of our success.
For us this is the opportunity that we hope will insure us a better future; a more stable future. It has been a long time in coming but now we both can see the light at the end of the tunnel...
We have 10 days to accomplish this! Our flight to Europe is on the 29th...
Thank you for your help!

Cafe Boheme paraphernalia for sale!!!!!
Need some souvenir of your favorite coffee shop?
Now is the time! I still have mugs, other retail items, assorted Republic of Tea tea boxes, our beautiful ceiling lights, chairs, our sign...
To prepare for my big move to Europe, I need to sell all my possessions, including all you will see in the pictures and more...
Know that I would love to see this stuff end up with a trusted and loved customer than with someone who has no idea what this represents for me.
The proceeds will be used partially to keep on paying my debt from the cafe as well as sending some of my personals to my new home.
I so wish I could take all this to my Bed & Breakfast and recreate the beautiful cafe atmosphere there but it is not realistic...
