Camp Jackson

We got to celebrate our eternal joy this year at Camp Jackson. We also witnessed extreme growth in some of our youth. What's better than growing in the safety of God's people?

Another reflection from one of our staffers, Jessica Barrett.
"Reflecting on Camp Jackson, it’s impossible to not see the Lords hand in it. What started as a small dream that God placed in the heart of Nicholas, turned into an incredible, tangible experience that touched the lives of so many. I think about these campers and the opportunity they were given this week to hear that they are loved, seen, and known by our Savior. I think about the seed of the Gospel that was planted in the hearts of the children at camp, and how for some, this was their first personal encounter with the greatest news their ears will ever hear.
We played, we laughed, and we had a good time. But most of all, children walked away knowing more about their identity in Christ than they knew before. I don’t know what could be better than that!"

A reflection from our staffer and student missionary trainer, Hayden Rowell.
"camp jackson, oh what a week.
where do I start?
I learned so much. From patience to perspective, He changed my attitude and my heart behind the ministry I love so much.
I learned that Jesus aches for the hearts of broken children. This is a concept I knew before but had no idea how to wrap my head around, until camp was over and I cried for the souls of the lost children I feel in love with. Jesus’ heart for us is so deep. His mercy and grace He floods us with, every morning.
I knew this before, but during camp, that mercy flowed out of me onto others, not by my strength, but by his.
I learned that having fun and laughing with children is the most joyful thing! I also learned that basketball is not my gift, and that is okay. I’m really awful at it, and 9 year old boys proved that.
Camp Jackson was so beautiful and life changing. Thank you, Lord, for blessing us with new relationships with the sweetest kids.
Here’s to next year:) "
