Queens Curated
Jackson Heights never runs out of surprises.
Cora brings bold flavors, beautiful presentation, and a welcoming atmosphere right to the neighborhood. It's the kind of place that makes you slow down, enjoy the meal, and appreciate the diversity that makes Queens one of the best food destinations in New York City.
Have you tried Cora yet?
One of my favorite things about Queens is how a simple stop for coffee can turn into discovering a local gem.
Kafra's Bakery in Jackson Heights is known for its Colombian pastries, fresh breads, and desserts that keep people coming back. Whether you're grabbing a quick breakfast or something sweet for later, it's one of those neighborhood spots that reminds you why Jackson Heights has such an incredible food scene.
Have you been here? What's your favorite thing to order?
Good food. Good conversations. Community over dinner in Jackson Heights 🍜✨
Did you know... that Elmhurst Hospital is home to a centuries-spanning "gallery" of public art? 🏥🎨
From the 1930s to today, these walls have told the story of New York’s resilience. Here is a look at the newest chapter: a collaborative mural led by artist Carla Torres .
While the hospital’s historic WPA murals by William Palmer were painted to educate patients, this modern masterpiece was designed to include them. Through the "Arts in Medicine" program, Torres invited healthcare workers and staff to trade their scrubs for aprons, helping to hand-paint a vibrant sanctuary dedicated to self-care and community strength.
It’s more than just decor—it’s a living reminder that healing is a team effort. 🖌️✨
