All About Chess

Our monthly tournament for beginners is this Saturday, 1/10!

Players will play four rated tournament games with standard tournament rules and regulations. There will also be a brief group lesson before each round, covering techniques all tournament players should know. Highly recommended for kids curious about competitive play!

Participants must be K-12 and have a rating of under 700. Register now at theallaboutschool.org.

The National K-12 Championships are in Washington this year for the first time in over a decade! To help players prepare, we'll be hosting weekly prep sessions at our center in Issaquah Saturdays and Sundays starting Oct 26. Participants will play a game with the same rules and regulations they’ll find at Nationals (G90 time control, required notation, etc), then have their game reviewed by one of our coaches. We’ll help them learn from their mistakes, understand new strategies, and get a leg up on the competition. This is a HUGE opportunity for local players - we're here to help them make the most of it.
