Over the next several weeks, IHCA third-party contractors will be working within the South Pond retention area to replace and repair IHCA-owned irrigation pumps and filtration equipment. These pumps are the primary source used to move reclaimed greywater through the community’s irrigation system and supply a majority of IHCA’s common area landscaping needs.
The existing pump system has failed and now requires replacement. During this project, residents may observe contractors, certified scuba divers, and small work boats operating within the pond area while repairs are completed.
The overall noise and impact to surrounding homes and open space areas is expected to be minimal. However, there will be an active contractor presence for several weeks. All work will comply with the City of Issaquah permitted construction hours of Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Replacing these pumps is essential to maintaining IHCA’s irrigation operations. Without this system, IHCA would be required to purchase domestic water from the City of Issaquah for irrigation purposes, resulting in substantially increased operating costs for the association.
We apologize in advance for any inconvenience and appreciate the community’s patience while this important infrastructure project is completed in preparation for summer irrigation demands.
