This Saturday from 9-12pm we will be doing a group lift at 1RM!!! Come with us to have some fun chatting with everyone and lifting in a larger space. If you don’t have a ride we can organize carpooling with others. :) It’ll be fun.

We will be having a fundraiser at Chipotle on Thursday!! It will be fun so show up if you can. Make sure to tell the register that you are there with Powerlifting so that you can support us!

Congrats to all our competitors who hit BIG numbers at Hidden Strength this past weekend! Our president Jack hit a HUGE 222.5 deadlift to secure the 575 Kg qualifying total for collegiate nationals. Tate smashes a 145 Kg bench to round out his 580 Kg total. Michelle made a 135 Kg deadlift look extremely easy. Vinnie clears a 187.5 Kg deadlift to fill out his 457.5 Kg total. Joo Hee grinds through a 145 Kg deadlift to complete a 322.5 Kg total. A finally Shiun slams a 117.5 Kg bench to sn**ch a 507.5 Kg total.

UCLA Powerlifting x UCLA Weightlifting Beach Social!!

On Saturday, October 18th, we’ll be hosting our first social of the year at Dockweiler Beach from 5–8 PM. Join us for a bonfire, hot dogs, s’mores, and more. Food and transportation will be provided while spots are available.

Prices:
$5 for members
$10 for non-members

Tentative Itinerary:
5:00 PM – Cars leave UCLA
5:30 PM – Arrive at Dockweiler Beach
6:30 PM – Sunset and bonfire
10:00 PM – Beach closes
