When she heard I was coming to perform in Nashville on May 14, she texted immediately and said she was gathering up the troops.

She bought 18 tickets, wanting to share a night of Laughter with her friends, as I still remain one of her favorite comedians.

Same thing with my 30 year amigo As soon as she found out, boom, she bought tickets, and also turning others onto the joy she has experienced with me through the years.

What cracks me up is the people who hardly know me, people I haven’t heard from in years, will text me and ask for free tickets. Not even a “how have you been,“ but right into the entitlement.

I don’t get the balls on some people. This is what I do for a living, and if I gave away the tickets, then I’d have to find another job to support my family.

Instead of “how’s the audience feeling tonight?” it would be “do you want french fries with that?“

i’m also amazed that people who say they can’t afford it, but if you looked at things they do pay for, it seems kind of ridiculous to think that this low amount of money cover charge would prevent someone from having the time of their life, celebrating, out of fear, and removed from watching toxic media.

If you are going to a sporting even I t’s minimum $100, including parking and bad food, yet a guaranteed wonderful night out is out of the question? Your team could lose 37 to nothing, but by coming to a comedy show you will rarely see a shut out. I like to think that my show is a victory every single time. Go to FanDuel and put a bet on it!

This week performing at the reminded me how much I’m so proud to be from Pennsylvania. I spent a few years of college out here, and while it is different from Philadelphia, there is still that real quality to the people, and that is something I connect with. Wow. I just love it. It’s why I do what I do.

Packed houses, standing ovations, and fun meeting so many people after the show.

One more show tonight, it looks like it’s gonna be crowded. Then it’s on the Nashville and Atlanta.
