UCI Summer Session offers more than 800 courses across 70 academic disciplines each summer, including a wide variety of online classes. More than 12,000 students attend UC Irvine each summer. Summer Session also offers numerous special programs, including summer programs for incoming freshmen and transfer students, a visiting student program for international students, and a leadership development program.

Course offerings in Spring or Fall may have been impacted due to COVID-19 adding these courses to the Summer offering allows students to continue to make efficient progress to degree.
⭐️ Classes have been added to assist with increased demand for Spring or Fall courses
⭐️ These have also been added to assist those who may need to retake a Spring course
⭐️ There is now more availability of upper-division writing courses
