Coach always knows best 👊
Coach Tim tells you why you don't deserve to PR... yet
A coach who always finds something wrong isn't being thorough. They're being desperate.
If you constantly need to remind your athlete how many mistakes they're making, you're not coaching them, you're keeping them dependent on you. There's a difference between being needed and being valuable.
The best coaches work more like doctors. A good doctor's goal is to not see you back in the hospital. You leave feeling capable, not broken.
That doesn't mean the relationship ends. A dialed-in athlete still gets sloppy over time and still benefits from having someone clean things up. But that trust is earned by empowering them, not by making them feel like they'll fall apart without you.

Some people loved lifting heavy things when it got them likes. And that's fine.
But it's not the same thing. Powerlifting was the trendy fitness thing for a while, the same way CrossFit was, the same way Hyrox is now. When the trend moves, the people chasing clout move with it.
What's left is the people who actually know this sport. Who know the history, the culture, the names that came before social media made any of this cool.
The sport isn't shrinking. It's refining.
