In April, the CDF Capital board of directors met in Southern California and joined our team for our monthly chapel service. Our Chairman of the board, Ken Thompson, shared a devotional that has stayed with us since.
Ken told the story of arriving in Grand Cayman after a devastating hurricane. Buildings were demolished. But the palm trees were still standing, bent by the storm but not broken.
That image became a word for everyone in the room: we may bend. But we do not break.
Ken has been married for forty years to his wife, Pat. They have four kids, five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. Wherever life took them, they always connected with the local church. We at CDF are grateful for directors like Ken who provide financial, strategic, and spiritual guidance to our ministry.
