Kingdom Investing Brought People Back to God | CDF Capital 06/02/2026

In seven years, Community Christian Church's congregation has more than doubled. Over 600 people have been baptized.

But what their pastor is most excited about is something the numbers don't fully capture.

"We've helped a lot of people who had just basically given up on church find a way back to God and his family."

Community Christian Church used a church loan from CDF Capital to build a space for weekend worship. When Kingdom-minded investors place their resources with CDF Capital, they're helping to fund second chances, restored faith, and communities that reach people others have stopped trying to reach.

In 1970, First Christian Church in Newbury Park needed a financial partner willing to see beyond a $40,000 property purchase to the Kingdom work it would support. CDF Capital said yes.

And we’ve kept saying yes.

When the first building was needed in 1973, CDF Capital was there. When growth demanded a new auditorium in 1995, CDF Capital financed it. When the Family Life Center was built in 2004, CDF Capital was there again.

In 2025, First Christian Church celebrated their 60th anniversary and paid off their CDF Capital mortgage. Then they redirected that former payment into a vision fund to help staff afford housing, plant churches in Southern California, and launch a ministry residency program.

"Paying off our mortgage isn't a finish line—it's a launching pad. After 60 years of faithful ministry and with our mortgage now behind us, I am more convinced than ever—we are just getting started." –Pastor Ken LaMont

Since 1953, we've served hundreds of churches and thousands of investors who want to grow God's Kingdom with wisdom and care. This is what that looks like.

Is your church ready to take its next faithful step? DM us. We'd love to hear your story.

Is your church ready to build, but not sure how to fund it?

Whether you are building a new church, converting an existing building into the perfect meeting place, or remodeling your current location, your church building project is going to require capital. Sometimes churches are so overwhelmed by the funds they need to come up with that they drag their feet on moving forward and hurt their momentum.

If you are thinking about moving into a building phase, here are 3 ways to come up with the capital you need.

1. Get a construction loan. Instead of trying to raise all the funds at once, borrowing allows you to get the project done and pay it off over time. The key is finding a lender who understands church finances and is committed to your mission.

2. Take advantage of social media. If your church has a strong online presence, combining it with a crowdfunding effort can help reach people beyond your immediate congregation. When members personally champion the project, people respond.

3. Set up matching grants. Businesses or organizations connected to your church may be willing to match contributions for a set period. Knowing their gift will be doubled motivates people to give quickly and sacrificially.

A building project takes everyone's involvement. But it doesn't have to be done alone.

New research from Barna Group asks a question church leaders should be sitting with: Do Americans think a spiritual revival is coming?

The answer is more hopeful than you might expect.

Nearly 3 in 10 U.S. adults believe a spiritual revival is likely in the next 12 months, rising to 38 percent among Gen Z. Prayer, young generations turning toward God, and a search for meaning and purpose top the list of reasons revival-minded Americans believe one is near.

Barna CEO David Kinnaman noted that when a generation turns toward faith not out of tradition or habit but out of a genuine drive for something deeper, the Church's response to that search may prove more consequential than any single cultural trend.

If revival comes, is your church positioned to meet it? That's a question worth praying through. And for church leaders thinking about what growth requires, it's also a practical one as you consider space, staff, and the financial foundation to receive growth when it arrives.

What do you believe is stirring in the Church right now?
