My client consents to this post.

After my client’s immigration interview..
Client: Attorney, can i give u a BIG hug?
Me: Of course! (So i hugged him back).

He approached other lawyers and decided to engage my services last minute. He said he’s charged too much by the other lawyers and some lawyers believe his case is not approvable.

(I charged them very minimal. Obtaining a greencard should not cost you your arm and your leg. It’s daylight robbery!)

I thought his case was uncomplicated but it’s the exact opposite. He had deportation proceedings, he had 3 previous marriages (2 of which less than a year cohabitation) and 1 present (total 4 marriages); there were 2 earlier petitions, 1 withdrawn, 1 denied. All these bolster the presumption of bad faith marriages. Hence, some lawyers thought it is not approvable!

When they engaged my services a week ago, i asked him and his 4th wife to go to my office so I could review the papers they submitted. There were missing dcouments and incorrectly answered items in the forms. So i asked them to prepare the documents and bring on the day of the interview. I also conducted a mock interview. I played the role of the interviewing officer. I asked him questions outside the forms. He was confused and could not answer right away as my questions refer to incidents that happened 5-8-10 years ago. I reminded him to recall all those incidents. Before they left the office, i asked them to pray harder as there’s only a 50/50 chance of approval.

Today, he was surprised that the officer asked him the same documents i asked them to bring and asked the exact same questions i asked during our mock inteview. He confidently answered each question. He did well. I’m impressed.

The verdict: a congratulatory letter (greencard to be received within a week!) Prayers and preparation are the key!

Indeed, when we focus our eyes on God, there’s nothing complicated!

How To Travel To the Philippines During Pandemic/Who Can Travel/Appeal To President Duterte 10/03/2020

I received a lot of inquiries regarding this topic so I decided to post this video ahead of my other videos.

A long wait at the Philippine Consulate at the processing of application is unbelievable. We appeal to President Rodrigo Duterte, the DFA, BI and other concerned government agencies for an expedited process esp for emergency cases. Alternatively, we request that a PSA issued birth certificate or acknowledgement of pending application (plus foreign passport) be allowed for entry WHILE the application for dual citizenship is PENDING.

Feel free to share so our voices will be heard loudest. Thanks.
