As we sit down to celebrate Thanksgiving, we find ourselves reflecting on the last 13 years. As many of you know, this is our 13th and final Thanksgiving serving the Coachella Valley. We will be closing our doors at the end of the year.

It’s been an honor to serve you. Thank you for the incredible memories. We look back fondly on the cloud comps (who remembers Desert Storm 2 in 2015?), the coil building classes, the conventions, and the countless hours spent fighting hard for v**e advocacy and the right to harm reduction. We built a community we are incredibly proud of. While the landscape has changed, our pride in what we achieved hasn't.

AVM President Allison Boughner: The US V**e Market Reshapes Under a Regulatory Storm

“The hardest hit,” Boughner said, “have been independent U.S. brands—companies that tried to play by the rules and filed their PMTAs.”

“Many of them woke up to find their inventory seized or blocked from state registries,” she added. “They’ve been transparent and compliant from day one, yet suddenly pushed into a gray zone of uncertainty.”

The state where smoking rates have increased for the first time in 30 years

Western Australia's smoking rates have increased for the first time in 30 years.

The new figures are igniting fresh pressure on Premier Roger Cook's government to introduce new laws to crack down on the illegal to***co trade. The number of West Australians picking up a cigarette spiked last financial year for the first time in three decades - up from 10 per cent in 2022/23 to 12 per cent.

The WHO, through its “3 by 35 Initiative,” is reportedly pushing member countries to significantly raise prices on these products—by at least 50 percent through tax hikes—by 2035. The stated goals are to curb consumption and generate revenue, especially as development aid declines and public debt rises. However, critics contend that this approach places an unfair financial strain on those least able to afford it.

The WHO’S proposal to use these taxes to cover its projected $600-million budget shortfall in 2025 is a “war on the working class” and “regressive social engineering”, said Martin Cullip, international fellow of The Taxpayers Protection Alliance (TPA) Consumer Center in London.
