Craft Connections

This week is paper squishy week!

I was really impressed with their creativity. Paper Squishies:

* Encourages creativity by allowing participants to design their own characters, foods, animals, or objects.

* Develops fine motor skills through cutting, folding, taping, stuffing, and drawing.

* Provides a calming, hands-on activity that encourages focus and mindfulness during the creative process.

* Offers a budget-friendly alternative to purchasing commercial squishies, making it accessible for classrooms, camps, and community programs.

* Encourages self-expression through colors, patterns, and unique designs.

* Creates opportunities for social interaction when participants share ideas, trade designs, or collaborate on challenges.

Although paper squishies don’t provide the same long-lasting sensory experience as foam, silicone, or gel squishies, they excel as a creative engineering and art project, giving participants the satisfaction of designing and building something from scratch while still offering a light tactile fidget experience.
