That One Sheep

Just yesterday we celebrated the feast of Our Lady of Grace. St. Josephine Bakhita had a deep devotion to Our Lady. As she spoke her last words, she had tears streaming down her face and said, “Our Lady ... Our Lady!”

Bakhita recalls in her autobiography a happy childhood until she was kidnaped and sold into slavery where she was given her name, meaning “lucky”, by her captors.

Bakhita was staying with the Canossian Daughters of Charity in Italy, when she gained freedom. She eventually became Christian and joined the order herself.

Bakhita’s story is inspiring to say the least. Wear this shirt to be reminded of her great love for Mary and that “We must love everyone!”
