Quick little side project I started on this week....I picked up this 3D printed late model kit from A-1 Raceworks and have been having a blast with it so far. Very clean printing, low parts count... a perfect little "get something done quick" type of build.

I am making a few changes, I swapped out the air cleaner and steering wheel to some Ron C**n items. And I ground down the RF tire to get the crazy camber these cars have. Added a few cage bars as well. All the black is Mr. Hobby black primer. Awesome stuff. And I tried out the Fusion chrome from Amazon for the wheels and wheel covers. Stuff looks pretty cool!

Wrapped up the Jaye's Model Garage 3D printed Kyle Busch Texas winning truck kit. (Other than the missing window banner and fuel ring logos I will add later)

A really fun project, that builds up pretty quick! As I mentioned before, I used the JWTBM and it took a couple sets to cut and paste since they weren't sized for this particular body. But overall it all worked out.

These kits are low on the number on parts, but area really detailed and make for a fairly quick project. Looking forward to building a few more!

Reached a good stopping point on the decals on the Kyle Busch truck. I still need to go add all the numbers and Realtree logos and small sponsors, but it is looking pretty cool at the moment!

Full disclosure, these sheets were drawn and produced before Jaye had made his truck kit, so there was quite a bit of slicin' and dicin' to get everything to fit his body. I knew that going into it, so I used a second sheet to be able to cut patches and so on to make it all work. But all in all, I think it all worked out pretty well.

I had cleared and polished over the green, but I am just leaving the camo decals, and the remaining decals over the top, with no more clear. It should have a nice contrast between the gloss and the matte decals.

Back to decaling.....CK
