When unexpected policy changes affected his financial aid, Keaun faced a sudden bill that threatened his ability to enroll. Flanner House helped close that gap, allowing him to continue his studies.

On May 26th, 2026, Keaun Michael Brown graduated from IU Indianapolis with Majors in Political Science and Africana Studies. Coupled with his hard work, Keaun's last year was supported by the Joyce Johnson Memorial Scholarship.

Our Annual Golf Outing benefits the Joyce Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund, helping provide educational opportunities and vital support services for individuals and families throughout our community.

Hi all. Just wanted to let you know that Ujamaa is closing at 2 pm on Wed, June 17th because there's a storm brewin!' We want our staff and patrons to be safe so we are closing shop. We will be open again at 9:00 AM on Thursday.
