With heartfelt sympathy, we extend our deepest condolences to the family, friends, and all who knew SuzAnne Handshoe.

SuzAnne faithfully served her community as the former Mayor of Kendallville and as a dedicated member of the RIPEA Board of Directors. After courageously battling cancer for 10 years, Suzanne passed away on June 29, 2026.

Her unwavering commitment to public service, compassionate leadership, and lasting impact on those around her will not be forgotten. She will be greatly missed by the RIPEA family and by the many lives she touched throughout her years of service.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her loved ones during this difficult time.

Betty brings decades of experience in public service, nonprofit leadership and community advocacy. Her background in strategic planning, program development, fundraising, marketing and organizational leadership will be a valuable asset as RIPEA continues serving retired Indiana public employees.
