Due to the strengthening forecast for severe weather, the Automotive Safety Program along with the IU Emergency Management team has made the decision to cancel today’s Car Seat Clinic for the safety of all volunteers and attendees. 📢Recall Alert!!🚨

Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2026 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The child seat tether welds on the second-row, right-side seat frame may be insufficient, which can reduce the seat's ability to properly restrain a child during a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 225, "Child Restraint Anchorage Systems."

Dealers will replace the second-row, right-side seat frame, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed May 29, 2026. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA's number for this recall is 27D. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall will become searchable on NHTSA.gov beginning April 16, 2026.
