2026-2027 Open Enrollment is here for Head Start families!

We’re hosting Saturday walk-in events to help families complete their eligibility intake in a simple, supportive environment. If your child will be at least 3 years old by September 11, 2026, we encourage you to attend.

Event Details:

Location: 3637 N. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46208 - Family Development Services Administrative Office

Time: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM

Dates:
June 27th
July 11th
August 1st

Families can attend any date and apply for any Head Start/Early Head Start center.

What to bring:
• Child’s original birth certificate, passport, or foster placement letter
• Child’s shot records
• Last dental exam
• Health insurance card
• Well child visit summary
• Child’s IEP (if applicable)
• Last 12 months of income verification (2024 1040, child support, TANF/SSI/SNAP, SSD award letter, employer letter, or Pell Grants)
• Current paystub or current school schedule
• Parent/guardian photo ID
• Social Security card (if applicable)
