The Public Collection book stations are open and available to everyone, for free. Our vision is to improve literacy, foster a deeper appreciation of the arts, and promote social justice through free access. The Public Collection is a public art and literacy project developed by Rachel M. Simon, with support from the Herbert Simon Family Foundation.

Excited to announce that we’ve created a new installation for ! “Playbook” by artist, Brose Partington, mimics a reclaimed basketball floor and reflects the gathering of teams from different courts, while acknowledging the importance of arts & literature in college athletics.

Big thanks to Indiana Sports Corp, and NCAA March Madness!

Our installation at Horizon House was built for and with neighbors experiencing homelessness. As the colder months approach, let’s all recommit to being better neighbors who build longer tables, not higher fences.
