What can—and should—early learning look like?

The years from birth to age five represent a period of extraordinary brain development, when up to 90% of a child’s capacity to learn is formed. These early experiences matter deeply, shaping how children think, explore and understand the world around them.

At Early Learning Indiana, we see this in action every day across our Day Early Learning schools—where curiosity and discovery are built into the classroom experience. From sensory bins that bring the FIFA World Cup to life, to sink-or-float experiments that spark early scientific thinking, learning is active, engaging and intentional.

These moments don’t happen by accident. They are created through the deep knowledge, skill and care of educators who understand how young children learn best.
