Housing affordability has become more than a housing issue. It's a workforce issue.

A recent Indiana Business Review analysis found that many working Hoosiers are being priced out of the housing market, even as new homes continue to be built.

Permits show homes planned to be built. Housing starts show homes actually being built.

New data shows housing starts increased in March, signaling renewed building activity despite ongoing affordability and financing challenges.

That matters because increasing housing supply starts with getting more homes under construction, not just approved on paper.
