Let me be honest for a second…

I love newborn photos.

I’ve dipped my toes into the world of styled, wrapped, in-studio newborn sessions, and there is absolutely a place for them. Tiny details, sweet poses, all of it is beautiful.

But if I’m sharing what’s truly in my heart, it’s lifestyle newborn photography.

A sleepy baby tucked into mom’s arms on the front porch. Bare feet in the grass. Big siblings running circles around everyone. Dad stealing a glance at his brand-new baby while the sun settles low in the sky. The way your family actually feels in this season.

Maybe it’s because I’ve lived it myself, but when I look back at photos, I don’t just want to remember what my baby looked like. I want to remember the light, the laughter, the chaos, the tenderness, and the feeling of being there.

Give me a warm evening, a growing family, and golden light any day.

Those are the images that stay with me.
