My parents visited from FL this week and helped document a project I never dreamt I’d make time for 👁️

This is our first garden! 🪏

It started with a visualization exercise during meditation. I was asked to imagine a garden bed and populate it. What kind of plants grow there? Food? Flowers? 🧘

I pictured growing our own salad, cutting flowers for the house, proudly sharing the yield with people I care about—spending time outside 🪴

Meditation is like growing a garden—you invest, you tend. But ultimately the outcome has a life of its own that you can only control so much. Surrender and agency commingle 🕉️

I imagined the garden so hard that I could almost smell it. That’s when I realized “this could come out of your imagination and into the world.” 🌍

With the help of Brother Jacob and Kaitlyn Joy we now have one bed dedicated to salad and another dedicated to flowers. If all goes according to plan, we’ll be eating homegrown greens all summer and making little floral arrangements for all the homies ☺️

For our first grow we’re trying:
🌻 Sunflowers
🌸 Zinnias
🌼 Cosmos
🌿 Dill
🌿 Basil
🥬 Simpson lettuce
🧅 Green onions
🍅 Cherry tomatoes
🥬 Romaine
🥬 Red romaine
🥬 Kale
