This March, as we observe Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month, let's also highlight the significance of Cerebral Palsy Awareness Month. At Positive Work, we're dedicated to creating spaces where everyone, including those with developmental disabilities like cerebral palsy, can thrive. 🌍💚

Did you know?
-Cerebral palsy is the most common motor disability in childhood, affecting an estimated 1 in 323 children in the U.S. alone.
-CP encompasses a group of disorders affecting a person's ability to move and maintain balance and posture, with varying degrees of severity.
-Despite the challenges, many individuals with CP lead successful, fulfilling lives, contributing uniquely to our communities and workplaces.

Cerebral Palsy in the Workplace:
-People with CP face significant barriers in the workplace, from physical accessibility issues to misconceptions about their abilities.
-Employment rates for adults with CP are lower than those without disabilities, not due to a lack of skill or desire but often due to a lack of accessible opportunities and supportive environments.

At Positive Work, we believe in the strength of diversity and the power of inclusion. This month, and every month, we're raising funds to develop a disability-inclusive workplace training program specifically designed to:

-Educate employers on the unique strengths and needs of employees with CP and other developmental disabilities.
-Foster an environment where everyone, regardless of ability, has the opportunity to contribute meaningfully and thrive professionally.
-Break down barriers and challenge stereotypes, ensuring that workplaces not only accommodate but also celebrate individuals with cerebral palsy.

Join us in creating a world where work is inclusive, accessible, and empowering for all. Your support can transform workplaces into communities where individuals with cerebral palsy, and all developmental disabilities, are valued for their talents and abilities.

Donate, share, and become a part of the movement towards an inclusive future. 💚✨

Did you know that developmental disabilities are lifelong conditions that emerge during childhood and affect cognitive, physical, or behavioral functioning? This includes autism spectrum disorder (ASD), cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder).

1 in 6 children have one or more developmental disabilities or other developmental delays. Despite progress in awareness and support, individuals with developmental disabilities still face stigma, discrimination, and barriers to inclusion in many aspects of life.

At Positive Work, we are committed to helping create a more inclusive work landscape and society as a whole for those with developmental disabilities. Each person with a developmental disability is unique, with their own strengths, abilities, and potential for growth and contribution to society. ❤️ 💛 💙
