While I bond with my family (including new twin babies!), I shall live vicariously through your gardens! Landscape designing is bringing me extra joy this summer since I haven’t been as able to get my hands dirty in my own garden ❤️

Soon, I’m going to post about this abominable “professional” planting job done by a local “fancy” nursery. I can’t even begin right now, I’m just so mad about this! So much metal, so many nails, so much rope, so many crossing branches… how dare they take advantage of people like this.

Whew! Yesterday was a windy one! My first client of the day had a spot on the ceiling in the first of a two story home with no water pipes above the first floor.

Weird right? I found a gutter downspout leak that led to water in the basement, tested the ceiling as over 50% waterlogged, windows and siding needing sealed/caulked, and the real culprit… four square feet of missing shingles!

Moral of the story: moisture is the devil. Always check a home roof to basement, gutters to ceilings.
