Big Rig Garage (BRG) is a small family owned and operated commercial maintenance shop that puts their people first in which your hard work and skills are appreciated. We are located just outside downtown Indianapolis and have developed a very strong brand name and reputation in the area with several fleets both large and small that trust us with their maintenance needs. Role

We are looking for an high performing experienced Director of Maintenance who will be in charge of the day-to-day operations of our shop, coordinate technicians, and ensure our customers have an excellent experience. Responsibilities include driving sales, enforcing company policies, service writing management, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and managing financial aspects such as daily revenue, invoicing, and payroll.

To be successful in this role you should have excellent people management skills and a good understanding of business operations. An outstanding manager should be able to ensure the smooth operations and maximum profitability of a shop.

Role Responsibilities

All day-to day operations including parts management.
Hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating employees.
Preparing employee work schedules.
Addressing employee disputes, questions, and concerns.
Ensuring all staff adhere to safety standards, company policies, and procedures.
Managing and accounting for all money-handling procedures.
Ordering, recording, and managing inventory and customer invoicing.
Ensuring the shop is adequately stocked, clean, and visually appealing.
Motivating employees to reach sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
Handling customer complaints.
Role Requirements

3+ years of previous experience in repair shop management.
Strong leadership and management skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Good interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Strong customer focus and decision-making skills.

Pay: From $85,000.00 per year
