You can think of the new moon as “day zero,” a dark phase in the lunar cycle where we can use our yoga practices to help us turn inward and plant the seeds of our intentions. Get yourself grounded, calm and ready to embrace all that this new moon has to offer with this new moon yoga practice designed to help you let go and be ready for change.

This will be a 90 minute class where we will begin with a breathing exercise, move through a strong and mindful slow flow, and end with a guided meditation.

This event is offered on a sliding scale rate. I trust your discernment to make a choice that is right for you.

$15 - Select this rate to pay for the work behind the scenes, and production of class. This is the standard rate.

$5 - Select this rate if it has been a hard month, you are a student, paying extra monthly in student loans or medical bills, or identify as black, brown, indigenous, or a person of color (BIPOC).

$25 - Select this rate if you are experiencing a good month financially, have generational wealth, money in stocks/bonds, or simply want to tip your instructor. This rate pays for the standard rate of class as well as tips your teacher.

It’s time for a fresh new look 🍃

Here is a little backstory about the logo and how it came to be what it is today.

I knew I always wanted to have a square or rectangular shape as part of Zen Lab's logo, because I wanted Zen Lab to feel elemental, like elements you find on the periodic table. With a bit of alchemy, all of the elements can be changed and transformed into a completely new substance that didn't exist before. Part of this idea was to bring in this idea of how we are all made up of the same stuff, and with a bit of alchemy (in our case, playing around in our "zen lab") we can create and inspire transformation in our lives and in other's lives.

We are evolving and so is this business. It’s time to be a little bold.

Wednesday slow flow is back baby 🌊💫

We can really feel it in our body and our mind when the season starts to change. We may have different needs during the fall/winter in comparison to spring/summer months.

I would describe this slow flow as soothing, balanced, gentle, strong, empowering, patient, and mindful. We will spend a good chunk of time warming up before we get into stronger standing postures, and even a few balancing poses. We will then have plenty of time at the end to stretch out, wind down, and rest in a blissful savasana at the end.

All you need is your BODY. A yoga mat is not required but can be helpful to add padding and stability.

Join me at 7:30am and begin your day with a half hour of breath, movement, and mindfulness.

One great perk offered to members is entry into the morning express classes. Classes are offered Tuesday-Thursday in September and include Hatha, yin, and sun salutations.

Setting intensions for the day ahead is an important practice when trying to live into the life you see for yourself. It starts with planting the seeds so that they they grow roots and manifest on a bigger way. 🌱
