Planning a trip?
Before you head out of town, you can give us a call and request a vacation check. This free service is available for homes located within the Kenton County Police Department's patrol area. An officer will take down some basic information, including when you'll be gone, emergency contacts, keyholders, vehicles that should be at the home and anything else that may be helpful to know.
An officer will be assigned to keep an extra eye on your home while they're out on patrol. It's a simple, free service that can provide a little extra peace of mind while you're away.

The Evidence Collection Unit responds to major crime scenes throughout unincorporated Kenton County and provides technical assistance to law enforcement agencies across Northern Kentucky. Team members receive advanced training in crime scene processing, evidence preservation, DNA collection, crime scene photography and other specialized techniques.
The team's expertise plays a critical role when it comes times for cases to go to trial. In this video, Detective Jill Stulz and Detective Sergeant Andrew Kenner give us a look inside the Kenton County Police Department's Evidence Collection Unit and the specialized van that carries everything needed to document and process crime scenes.
