Seventeen Years Today! Seventeen years since I last heard his voice. Seventeen years has passed since Houston Williams had his dad in his life. Seventeen years my heart has been shattered, my dreams I had are still dreams. 6209 Days that we have went with out him now we only have memories and pictures. I remember the news just like it was yesterday. Pulling into the driveway walking into the living room that we share laughs out of,wresting matches, Christmas times, only to see Casualty officer standing there. I knew all day something wasn’t right but I wasn’t ready to hear “Mrs.Williams I am here to inform you that your husband SPC. Ronnie Williams was killed.” July 17 2005 my life forever changed at the age of 21 I had to figure out the whys the how and so much more. Seventeen years later I am still trying to figure out some of those whys! I knew John (what we call him at home) loved life, loved me and his son and my parents was like his parents. My brother was his best friend no matter the what. He lived life to the fullest. If your still reading this I want you to know this life lesson, life is to short we never know when we or our loved ones are getting called home! Live your life to the fullest. Be someone smile, John had a smile that lite the room up! Be the helping hand someone needs, John was always there to help someone if it was taken them hunting or fishing or working on a car he was there. Spread your joy! Give people compliments John was the biggest flirt, but he did it out of joy not harm. His saying “ All the lady’s love me” he had joy in his heart. If you can do anything today be a little like the man I miss so much. Remember to hug your loved ones and share memories but don’t forget to take pictures, some of us only live on pictures now.
