Meet your Instructor - Jesse Gregory

Jesse is currently a 5th grade teacher at Jefferson School. She has been studying Sh*to-Ryu Genbu-Kai karate since she was 5 years old, starting in 1995. She studied hard while a young child and made her junior black belt, or red belt, at the age of 12. She continued to train until some medical issues made her stop for awhile. She started training again in 2014 and tested for Shodan black belt rank in 2015.

One of Jesses favorite parts of being a part of this organization is the opportunity to travel and train with other schools. She has competed and trained in several states including: Kansas, Missouri, Michigan, Minnesota, and California.

She recently tested for her Nidan, or second degree black belt and currently still trains with the Pittsburg KS dojo on Saturday mornings. She cannot wait to start classes here in Independence.
