Idabel Rotary Club

Our candidates for State Representative District #1 are giving their opinions on issues important to each of us.

Earlier this morning, dedicated Rotarians and volunteers came together to place flags throughout Idabel, rendering a heartfelt tribute to Memorial Day with solemn reverence and appreciation, while paying tribute to the courageous individuals whose sacrifices have afforded us our cherished freedom.

Chloe Farley has received the Idabel Rotary Scholarship for 25-26. Miss Farley is an honor graduate at Idabel High School. She is planning to attend the University of Oklahoma in the fall.

The guest speaker for Idabel Rotary on Wednesday was Daniel Griffin. Mr. Griffin discussed Team USA Kickboxing. He talked about classes, competing, and training. Classes are offered locally and students are encouraged to compete in tournaments.

Congratulations to Idabel Rotary Club member, Deby Lawson on her newest achievement!

Sheriff Bruce Shirey was the guest speaker for Idabel Rotary Club on Wednesday.. He discussed and shared information on the latest scams and cons circulating through the area. He also discussed the new equipment, training, and programs being used by his department. The Sheriff answered a variety of questions from the Rotarians about current issues and the effects on the county.

Mary Allen, a spiritual health advocate recently spoke to Idabel Rotary about the benefits of using specially blended oils to improve health. Ms. Allen discussed the different types of oils and which conditions would respond best to them. When an individual visits with her, she consults with them and blends a specialty oil just for them.
