July is UV Safety Month, making it the perfect time to remember that the sun can be just as much of a workplace hazard as any other environmental exposure, especially for employees who spend their days outdoors.

💡 Did you know? The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that employers help reduce workers' UV exposure by encouraging sun protection, providing access to shade when possible, and promoting regular hydration during hot weather.

Help protect your team by encouraging employees to:
🧴 Wear broad-spectrum sunscreen with SPF 30 or higher.
👕 Choose lightweight, sun-protective clothing and a wide-brimmed hat when appropriate.
🕶️ Wear UV-blocking sunglasses.
💧 Drink water regularly and take breaks in shaded or cool areas.
⏰ Be especially mindful of sun exposure during peak UV hours.
