Huntsville Fire & Rescue personnel recently teamed up with firefighters from across the region for our Rope Technician Training — an intensive, hands‑on course that builds the skills needed for safe and effective rope rescue operations.

During the course, crews practiced technical rigging and high-angle scenarios as they worked toward earning their certification and strengthening our community’s emergency response capabilities.

HFR personnel recently held the first Fire Ops 101 class for City of Huntsville employees. Participants from HR, Legal and Communication had the chance to get hands-on experience from understanding our department's structure to training drills in forcible entry, victim search and handling a car fire.

We appreciate everyone who attended and jumped into this day head first. Stay tuned to see who joins Fire Ops next!
