We’ve got a lot of thanks to give today… and this one deserves its own moment.

Through the Light the World Giving Machines at Bridge Street Town Centre Huntsville, our community gave $15,220 to support aging and homebound residents across Madison County. Every dollar became real, tangible support through Enable Madison County’s programs.

Here’s what that looks like:

✨ 54 adult diapers
✨ 22 box fans
✨ Seeds for 182 garden beds
✨ 63 grab bar installations
✨ 25 homes weatherized
✨ 2,700 feet of wheelchair ramp

A special thank you to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Giving Machine Alabama, and every person who volunteered at and gave through the Giving Machine.

We are overwhelmed with gratitude for everyone who donated through the Light the World Giving Machine - Huntsville, Alabama 🚀💞

We were honored to have Phillip Rigsby in attendance from the Alabama House of Representatives, who shared that he was grateful for our non-profits and all the work they do to better our community and the lives of others.

Here are some of the items you blessed our community with at the Giving Machine: 34 Bikes, 27 wheelchair ramps, 62 Elementary Stem Kits, 226 Protective Tarps, 67 Certification Test Fees, 280 Stuffed Toys, 63 Grab Installation Bars, 143 Grade School Boxes, 163 Pairs of Glasses (5 each), 16 College Credits.

You also gave to our global charities! Water for Good - 226 Water Pump Repairs; Mentors International - 403 Chickens (And that’s in pairs of 2 each!)🐓🐓

Light the World Giving Machine

❤️Huntsville was one of the 126 cities across 21 countries on six continents that hosted a Giving Machine! ✨🌎

"During the 2025 Giving Machine season, more than 500 nonprofits participated, offering over 3,200 different items for donation.

As those donations are delivered in the coming months, their collective impact will be significant:

3.5 million meals will help feed the hungry.
500,000 children will receive life-saving vaccinations, protecting them from preventable diseases such as polio, measles, and tetanus.
350,000 months of menstrual hygiene care will help women and girls live with dignity.
108,000 children and adults will receive essential clothing, including shoes, socks, coats, everyday attire, and school uniforms.
97,000 books, school supplies, and technology resources will support education for tens of thousands of children.
40,000 hygiene kits, with items such as soap, deodorant, and toothpaste, will provide cleanliness and confidence to students, refugees, and shelter residents."
