Facts! Many bird toys are made with colorful dyed parts that many parrots find unsettling - the colors attract our human eyes but in the wild much of what a parrot shreds and plays with have bland or natural colors.
It is essential for captive parrots to have toys to destroy so to help desensitize them to the bright colors we can ‘play’ with the toys ourselves where your Birdie can see you before introducing the new toy into their cage. That will make it look safe and interesting (what’s yours is theirs😂)❣️
Please know you may have to ‘play’ with new toys in front of them several times over several days depending on on how apprehensive your Birdie is🦜
