UASOM Huntsville Rural Pre-Medical Internship

interns to experience various aspects of medical practice. Interns have the opportunity to shadow family physicians in rural areas, attend field trips to help better understand work and life in rural areas, and give a presentation on current health issues. Students should be completing at least 4 semesters of pre-med coursework, with an overall GPA in the B or B+ range, and ACT or MCAT scores >24 or SAT scores >1200. Only Alabama residents are accepted and students from rural areas of the state are given priority in the selection process. This program is located at the Huntsville Regional Medical Campus of the University of Alabama School of Medicine.
