🩰💖 In the Studio With… Miss Ashleigh! 💖🩰

This week, we’re introducing one of the longtime hearts behind Heartwork - Miss Ashleigh! ✨

Miss Ashleigh is a mama of 3 who spends her days teaching preschool at Enslow Park Presbyterian Preschool and her evenings making memories with her children - going on adventures, dancing, and spending time with family. 💖

Miss Ashleigh has been dancing for nearly 19 years, including 13 years of ballet training! While ballet will always be her first love, she also enjoys jazz, modern, and lyrical. 🩰✨

Did you know Miss Ashleigh has been with Heartwork from the very beginning?

Over 11 years ago, before they were even family, Mindi asked Ashleigh if she would help teach ballet for a brand-new ministry designed to give Christian families a safe, Christ-centered place to express themselves through dance and twirl. She said yes - and now she’s entering her 10th year teaching ballet at Heartwork alongside an incredible team of ballet teachers. 🤍

One of Miss Ashleigh’s favorite things about teaching is watching dancers grow in confidence year after year - becoming more comfortable in their abilities while also growing closer to Christ and stronger in their faith through the support of Christian teachers and families. 🥹

Miss Ashleigh hopes every student leaves her class knowing that when life feels hard and you don’t think you can keep going, that is often when God invites us to lean on Him most. He walks with us through every valley and stands with us on every mountaintop - all because of His deep love for us. 💖

Her teaching style? Gentle, structured, encouraging, and detail-oriented. (Because good technique and dance etiquette matter! 😉)

Fun fact: When she was 16, Miss Ashleigh traveled to Costa Rica and even took dance classes in traditional Costa Rican folk dances, including the Swing Criollo and Punto Guanacasteco! 🌎💃
