Great information on getting your dogs comfortable seeing people in masks. I can only imagine how scary it is for them.

Our wonderful Allison McConnell created this helpful info-graph to ensure dogs are at ease during these strange times. Tip: make the treat novel and reserve it for this special exercise. Goat cheese is a great option for many dogs!

For all of our followers that have dogs. Please be careful with more then half of our country experiencing higher then normal temperatures. Remember if you can't hold your hand on the pavement or asphalt for more then 5 seconds, your dogs pads can't handle the heat either.

Dogs paw pads can burn on hot pavements. As a general rule, if it's too hot for your hand it's too hot for their paws.

I am at the 74th Annual New England Camera Club Annual Conference at UMass Amherst. We arrived yesterday and finish up tomorrow afternoon. Great classed about all types of photography! I have two images in the digital competition this afternoon.

Sharing again since Facebook had issues and fireworks tonight in most towns.

With 4th of July days away and neighbors shooting off fireworks, here is some information for helping our cats and dogs stay calmer. Make sure your animal's collars have up to date contact information along with your registered chip, keep them inside for safety and if you remain calm, that will help your pets be calmer.
The 5th of July is the busiest day at animal shelters with owners trying to find their lost pets who spooked from the noise. Fireworks are also very scary for our human friends with PTSD and our wild friends.
