The folks at LIC Harry Chapin Food Bank have been so gracious invoking our community with their food drives across LI stop n shops this Saturday.

The LI chapter of Habitat is a cause near and dear to the Gilmor's hearts and Michael was always giving back with them amongst the countless other ways he gave back.

We're happy to have a table at Gilfest this Saturday where you can sign up for to volunteer for future projects.

None of this is possible without the community. All these people in one way or another were affected by Michael Gilmor or another Gilmor. So let's be more like Gilmor and Live Like Mike for this year's GILFEST!

Five years ago, our community lost a friend, our world lost it's light, and the universe lost one of it's brightest stars, Michael Gilmor.

Michael was surely one of the finest young men on this planet and he left us with one incredibly big hole to fill, but in Michael's honor we fill what's missing by Living Like Mike everyday. Gilfest is one way we're trying to give back in Michael's honor the way he gave to us while he was here.

Two years ago we put on the first Gilfest raising money for the Michael S Gilmor Memorial Scholarship Fund. This year we're putting together round two at in Huntington this Saturday September 9th at 6pm.

After a day of volunteering across LI those who were blessed enough to know Michael will gather where we will have incredible raffle prizes, good food, cold drinks, and good music while we remember a great man.

Would love if any friends of ours would come down this Saturday to support a great cause and get an idea of who Michael was.

We are less than two weeks away from this years Gilfest at Industry in Huntington.

If you signed up to volunteer please make sure you've been confirmed via email for your time and location.

As well as lock in your sponsor who will be donating a $/hr volunteered which reuslts in a donation to the Michael S Gilmor Memorial Scholarship Fund.
