Every week brings new opportunities for our students to build the skills that help them navigate everyday life with confidence.

This week, our students practiced appropriate social interactions with other dogs, settling around distractions (including while food and activity were happening nearby as part of our counter surfing focus), recall, walking skills, exploring enrichment activities, building settle skills, becoming more comfortable with everyday care like paw handling, and greeting new people politely with four paws on the floor.

While each activity may look different, they all have the same purpose: building confidence, strengthening communication, and creating positive learning experiences that carry over into life at home and out in the world.

A look inside our All Day School program.

Our puppy students spend the day building foundations for life with their families through a thoughtfully planned balance of learning, enrichment, play, and rest.

Throughout the day, our puppy students work on foundational skills like loose leash walking, recall, settling, crate training, and building positive associations with new experiences such as wearing a harness. They also learn how to settle around distractions, enjoy appropriate group play, and practice important social skills, including reading other dogs’ communication and taking breaks when they need them.

Every experience is introduced gradually using positive reinforcement and tailored to each student’s comfort level. We never force interactions or rush the learning process. Instead, we focus on creating positive experiences that help our students build confidence one step at a time.

Our structured daily routine gives our puppy students repeated opportunities to learn, rest, play, and practice throughout the day because we know that learning doesn’t happen in just one training session.
