MY NEW SEASONAL FACIAL!!! I’m actually really excited for this one because it’s more than a seasonal facial, it actually helps a major skin problem that occurs for a lot of people during the changing of the seasons which is dryness or dehydration. Let’s talk about acne scarring
So acne scarring is nothing to be ashamed of, it happens to tons of people, but I do recognize it is still going to be a common insecurity for a lot of people. So what can you do about it?
My number one recommendation is seeking advanced professional treatments. Microdermabrasion and hydrafacial is what I personally have experience with. In this photo you can see there is already a little bit of a difference with one hydrafacial session. For hydrafacials for acne scarring specifically, I use one of our more abrasive tips so it provides essentially the same effect as a microdermabrasion, which is an excellent treatment option for acne scarring. Both of these you will have to be consistent with your treatment plan if you want the lasting result you’re looking for.

Chemical peels! Chemical peels are a great treatment options for so many different skin concerns, scarring being one of them. At the LifeSpa we use eminence which has lighter more mild forms of peels, that can be a great addition in between hydrafacial treatments to help expedite to process. Because ours are on the lighter side, you’ll notice less irritation and discomfort.

I know there are some options in the world of laser, however I’m not a professional at that front, though later down the road I would like to get certified in laser to help aid in the advanced treatments I can offer. I recommend speaking to a laser technician about what options are best for you if that’s the route you prefer to take.

Obviously resurfacing ingredient such as AHA’s can help and preventative and regenerative ingredients like retinol can be beneficial to have in your routine, but if it’s deep acne scarring, advanced treatments are gonna be the most effective option.
