Is your service provider up to date with the improved filter servicing methods? Is his or her oven outdated? An outdated oven shortens the life of your filter. If you service filters with heat, it should be done with a DPF thermos oven. A DPF oven heats the filter in stages (a new and improved feature in DPF ovens), whereas a cheap oven (not made for servicing a DPF) allows the filter to overheat. Then there is the aqueous wash, which is done before the baking, thus shortening the required baking time. This method of cleaning the DPF provides the cleanest filter possible.
