Later this year, Oklahoma Baptists will host a Church Safety Conference to help churches adopt best practices for safety and security.

The conference, which will take place in four regions of the state on four different dates, was created in response to numerous inquiries from pastors seeking guidance on church safety.

“The conference is designed to help churches develop safety teams and implement best practices for working with children and youth,” said Todd Fisher, Oklahoma Baptists executive director-treasurer.

Very strong winds blew through Hugo at 5:40pm today. Trees are down at the nursing home and it blew our fence over at our guest apartments. Power is off in the area. Nursing home across the street is on emergency power generators as well.
