Nine Cakes

Even good things come to an end, and bittersweetly I've decided to close the bakery.
So THANK YOU: Thank you for letting me make your cakes for fifteen years, for all the milestones our cakes were part of, for the continued support and cheering on over the many years. It was always mind boggling to know I started in my little tiny Brooklyn apartment and year after year just blew my mind with what we accomplished in leaps and bounds. What a roller coaster!
Thank you for the last five years in Hudson. What an incredible community of people to land in, thank you for coming in for cookies and cakes and all things sweet. Thank you for lighting up and smiling when you walked in the shop, it always made my day. It was such a a big leap for me to open a storefront bakery, and your support meant everything.
Thank you to all of the amazing, talented people I was lucky enough to work with. Who taught me so much, and made beautiful delicious cakes with me every week. I'll never be able to thank you enough for all your hard work and the role each of you played at Nine Cakes.
I'm not entirely sure what happens next!! Maybe there is a Nine Cakes that is classes, workshops, an online shop...after a summer break to regroup and relax, I'll see what the next steps are.

When the couple sent their design inspiration with a wide range of colorful springy flowers and said they wanted a pistachio green cake...I instantly knew it was going to be SO. MUCH. BEAUTIFUL. Fell in love with their cake before we even started making it. They chose two amazing flavors: vanilla cake with an apricot peach filling, and a vanilla chocolate chip cake with nutella and hazelnut buttercream!!! YUM. Can't wait to see more from their wedding last night 🌷🌸🍊🌞🍃🐦☂️🍇

We had the best time last night with a Valentine's tasting! We sampled all the cute yummy things: macarons, chocolate dipped strawberries, profiteroles, little cupcakes, and of course CAKE! 😍💞💌💕💘🎀 So fun to host our first tasting party here at the bakery!
