Happy International Women's Day!
Meet Nicole Routhier, Vietnamese chef and cookbook author, who serves as a partner and culinary ambassador to Le Colonial. Born in Vietnam to a Vietnamese restaurateur mother and a French father, Nicole began cooking at a very young age and moved to New York City in 1979 with the goal of attending culinary school. She later graduated from the Culinary Institute of America. Nicole developed the menu for the original Le Colonial in New York City more than 30 years ago and went on to join owners Rick Wahlstedt and Joe King as a partner during the opening of the Houston location in 2016.
Nicole now resides in Houston, where she continues to be a key player in the forever evolving menus of Le Colonial and continues her passion of cooking and teaching. If you see Nicole in our restaurant, do not hesitate to say Hi!
