Houston friends: the Beaumont and Port Arthur areas are STILL flooded and in terrible condition. As Houston recovers, they are still in dire need. Businesses and homes have standing water inside. I have heard that the water supply has been shut off and there is still no power.
Lyle Antony Bento is driving a big trailer there tomorrow—and we need YOUR help to fill it! Deliveries must be made to Southern Goods (632 West 19th in the Heights) or Reef (2600 Travis in Midtown) between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m.!
I realize that is a fairly short window of time, but he's got to leave Houston while there is still daylight.
IMPORTANT UPDATE: Please - no baby clothes — no clothing at all. We're having to prioritize and make the most out of the trailer space we have.
Here are the needs:
*Ice Chests: All kinds welcome; needed to store/preserve ice as long as possible
*Toiletries: Feminine hygiene products, toothbrushes/toothpaste and hand sanitizer are in high demand. Also, antiperspirant, soap, shampoo, etc.
*Baby Needs: Baby formula, disposable diapers, diaper rash ointment. Baby wipes!
*Basic First Aid Supplies: hydrogen peroxide, rubbing alcohol, antibiotic ointment, gauze, bandages
*NONPERISHABLE Food: Good, nourishing stuff. Nothing really sugary like candy.
THANK YOU FOR HELPING!
We are accepting donations for shelter delivery:

We were honored to make dinner for some of Houston's finest today. We thank you and your families for your service, dedication and protection.
Due to Hurricane Harvey, Reef will be closed Friday and Saturday in order for our employees to take the necessary precautions for their families.
We will provide updates with additional information as the storm makes it way through Houston.
We hope everyone stays safe though the storm and we look forward to serving our customers next week.
