Serving PK3–2nd grade, we help each child thrive through hands-on, personalized learning in a nurturing setting. At Hughen Montessori, we believe in nurturing the whole child—academically, emotionally, and socially—through a thoughtful, hands-on education rooted in the time-tested Montessori method. Located in a warm, welcoming environment, our school serves children from PK3 through 2nd grade. We
offer two core academic tracks: the Primary Montessori Program, which includes PK3 through Kindergarten, and the Elementary Montessori Program, which serves 1st and 2nd grade students. Both programs are designed to inspire curiosity, build independence, and foster a lifelong love of learning. Our certified Montessori educators carefully observe and guide each child’s development, creating a personalized learning journey that respects their individual pace and interests. In the Primary Program, students engage in purposeful work that promotes independence, movement, and self-confidence. Classrooms are intentionally designed to be calm and developmentally appropriate, with mixed-age groupings that encourage mentorship, empathy, and collaborative learning. Each child receives lessons individually or in small groups, allowing for a tailored experience that supports their unique growth. Language development is enriched through early Mandarin exposure, cultivating global awareness and communication skills from a young age. As students transition into the Elementary Program, their capacity for abstract thinking, collaboration, and creativity flourishes. The curriculum deepens to include project-based learning, integrated academic subjects, and rich cultural studies—all delivered through Montessori principles that emphasize hands-on exploration and meaningful engagement. Students begin violin instruction, which enhances fine motor skills, self-discipline, and an appreciation for the arts.
