Chubby Struggles

Two years ago to the minute, I was sitting at on my very first date ever with a woman. I was talking too fast, sweating more than I had ever sweat before (and I sweat a lot), and fidgeting hardcore on the picnic table bench.

She instantly felt like my best friend, and I knew I was in trouble the second she smiled and I lost my breath.

I got so nervous at the end of the date, I really uncomfortably asked if she was into a girl kissing her. So we made out in her car like all the teenage dreams I had in high school.

And now two years later, we’re currently sitting on our couch, in our beautiful shared apartment, celebrating one of our two shared dog’s 1st birthday.

It took me quite a few lifetimes in the past decade to find you . But everyday, I get to wake up to your cute bed head and crinkly eyes filled with joy. When you ask me to pull back the curtains and show you the day, I know that no matter what the weather, we’re gonna make it a great day together.
