Former Intern is Now the Owner of San Diego's Only Black-Owned Chick-fil-A Restaurant Amber Thomas, who started out as an intern at Chick-Fil-A, is now the owner of the first Black-owned Chick-Fil-A restaurant in Spring Valley, CA.

"I'd like to introduce Anna. Anna was hired in 4 weeks ago!! She works a couple days a week, cleans the lobby and talks with guests. She has quickly become the face of my store.
